Über die Veranstaltung
Can a tiny forest really survive inside a closed jar? 🌿💧
In An Ecosystem in a Jar, we become nature scientists and investigate how plants, water, light, air and soil work together.
We’ll discover what makes an ecosystem and explore the miniature water cycle happening inside a bottle garden. Water evaporates, collects as tiny droplets on the glass and eventually makes its way back into the soil – all inside our little world.
Then we’ll build our own mini ecosystems. Layer by layer, we’ll use stones, soil, plants and natural materials to create a bottle garden that each child can take home and continue observing over the following weeks.
A hands-on Waldpädagogik workshop combining ecology, science, experimentation and creativity.
