Forest Colour Lab – English (6+)

What makes a leaf green – and where do all those yellow, orange and red colours suddenly come from in autumn? 🍁🔬

In our Forest Colour Lab, we become forest scientists and investigate what really happens inside a leaf when the seasons change.

We’ll take a closer look at chlorophyll and the different pigments found in leaves, make predictions and carry out a simple experiment to reveal colours that aren't always visible at first glance.

After our investigation, we'll use the colours and structures of autumn leaves as inspiration for a creative nature project to take home.
