Forest Detectives – English (6+)

An animal has passed through the forest – but which one? 🐾🔎

In Forest Detectives, we become wildlife trackers and learn how to read the clues animals leave behind.

We’ll investigate footprints, tracks and other signs and discover what they can tell us about an animal. Which direction was it travelling? Was it walking or running? And how can we tell different animals apart just by looking at their footprints?

Using our observation and detective skills, we’ll examine clues and try to solve our own forest mystery.

Then each child will create a cast of an animal footprint to take home – just like wildlife researchers use tracks to document the animals they find.
